I understand how painful that can be to live with. You might feel anxious all the time or worried about what is going to happen next. So many things remind you of the trauma and you wonder about how you are supposed to "get over it". Maybe you have a hard time now relating to others and worry you might be permanently damaged or broken. In our society, we don't talk about it very much, but what you are experiencing is normal. Reaching out to me and working together means you have a place to get help with your concerns.

As Your Therapist, I Can Help You Feel Better
I'm Rachel Stanton and I'm a therapist who is uniquely qualified to help you feel better. I have worked for years with people who have gone through terrible and scary things.
My clients tell me they appreciate my nonjudgmental, calm, and playful tone. I understand what you are going through and know how to provide a safe space for pain and healing. I have undergone significant training in helping people recover after trauma or struggling through the legacy of childhood abuse or neglect.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a very useful tool in processing traumatic events to lead to healing. I also practice Sensorimotor Psychotherapy which helps your body process what has happened in a safe and empowered way. I welcome you into my office to use time with me as a sanctuary away from the fears and suffering of life after trauma with the goal that eventually you won't need a sanctuary anymore because you feel safe, connected, and relaxed in your body and in your world.
